Phil is experienced at school, club and senior tournament level umpiring, including numerous SA Masters and FIH World Grand Masters level.  

Phil has been a member of the EGHA executive responsible for Umpires for the past 6 years and was the SAHA appointed umpire manager for the SA Ladies Country Districts tournament hosted by EGHA in 2016
